Sheetz Allergen & Dietary Guide

This page is written to be useful and honest at the same time, which means the most important sentence comes first: do not make an allergy decision from any website, including this one. A shared made to order kitchen introduces cross contact that no published table can capture. What follows is planning information, not an allergen guarantee.

Ask Every visit

Read this before the tables

Sheetz builds food to order on shared equipment. Fryers, prep surfaces and utensils are used across items, so an ingredient list does not tell you what a build has touched. If you have a diagnosed allergy, ask staff in store, every single visit, and treat any online list including this one as background rather than as an answer.

The three questions

What people actually come here to ask

Each one has a different honest answer, and only one of them is a website question.

Is there anything vegetarian?

Yes, and the table below lists the standing builds. This is the question a website can answer usefully.

What is lower in calories?

Also answerable. 218 tracked items publish 400 calories or less, listed further down this page.

Is it safe with my allergy?

Not a website question. Shared equipment means the only reliable answer comes from staff at the store you are ordering from.

Vegetarian

Standing vegetarian and meat free builds

These contain no meat as built. They are prepared on shared equipment, so they suit a dietary preference rather than a strict requirement.

Common allergens

Where the big allergens usually show up

General guidance on which parts of the board carry which ingredients. Not a substitute for asking.

Common allergen presence across the Sheetz board
AllergenWhere it commonly appearsWhat to ask about
Wheat and glutenBuns, tortillas, breading, Flatz bases, most bakeryBunless and bowl versions, though the fryer is shared with breaded items.
MilkCheese, sauces, shakes, coffee builds, bakerySauce and dressing choices, which carry dairy more often than the main does.
EggBreakfast builds, mayonnaise based sauces, bakeryWhich sauce goes on a sub, since several are egg based.
SoyOils, sauces, breading, many packaged itemsFryer oil and sauce ingredients specifically.
Tree nuts and peanutsBakery items, some snacks, Sammich spreadsWhich bakery items share prep space with your build.
Fish and shellfishThe fish builds, some saucesFryer sharing between fish and other breaded items.

Recipes and suppliers change. Staff at the store have current ingredient information and it is the only version that governs.

How to ask

Getting a useful answer at the counter

The question that works is specific. Naming the allergen and the exact build gets a better answer than asking what is safe. Staff can check ingredient information for a named item far more easily than they can audit a whole menu on the spot.

The second useful question is about the fryer. Shared fryer oil is where most cross contact happens in a kitchen like this, and it is the detail that a printed ingredient list never covers. If the answer is that everything shares one fryer, that decides several items at once.

For dietary preference rather than allergy, the tables above do the job. The nutrition calculator handles the counting side, and the lighter eating guide covers which builds hold up once sauces are included.

Prices come from the Sheetz ordering system for a Pennsylvania reference store and vary by location. Calorie counts are the values Sheetz publishes for the base build. Updated 25 June 2026. Found something wrong? Tell us.

Add up the real order, dressing included

The calculator counts the sauces and sides too, which is where published figures stop.

Answers

Sheetz Allergen & Dietary Guide questions

Does Sheetz have an allergen menu?
Sheetz provides ingredient information through its own channels and staff in store. Because the kitchen builds to order on shared equipment, a published list cannot account for cross contact, which is why in store confirmation matters every visit.
Are there vegetarian options at Sheetz?
Yes. Veggie, the cheese quesadilla, grilled cheese, rice and beans and the plain salad builds are the standing meat free options. All are prepared on shared equipment.
Does Sheetz have vegan options?
Very few as built, since cheese and egg run through most of the meat free items. Fruit cups, some smoothie builds and plain sides are the practical options. Ask about sauces, which frequently contain dairy or egg.
Is there gluten free food at Sheetz?
There are builds without a bun or tortilla, including bowls and salads, but the kitchen is not a gluten free environment and the fryer is shared with breaded items. Treat those builds as lower gluten rather than gluten free.
What are the healthiest options at Sheetz?
218 tracked items publish 400 calories or less, and the table on this page lists the lightest twenty. Grilled proteins, fruit cups and plain salad builds sit at the bottom of the range.
Which Sheetz items are SNAP eligible?
28 items across the menu carry a SNAP eligible marker, mostly cold subs, wraps and salads. Eligibility is a store level setting, so confirm at your own location.
Can I trust calorie counts for a medical diet?
The figures are the ones Sheetz publishes for the base build, and they are accurate for that build. They do not account for customisation, and they say nothing about allergens. For a medical diet, use them as a starting point and confirm details in store.
